While emphasizing the same authentic analog sounds and joy of controlling electronic instruments as the original minilogue, minilogue xd adds new digital multi-engines, effects, a powered-up sequencer, and fine-tuning capabilities to further expand the possibilities of sound design and performance potential.

Four-part polyphonic simulation synthesis
The sound structure of minilogue xd is 2V CO + MULTI ENGINE, 1VCF, 2EG, 1VCA and 1LFO.
In addition to unique circuits in the series, such as wave shaping and a sync/ring switch for shaping the oscillator's overtones, there's cross-modulation, a sharp two-pole filter, and a drive-switched filter that adds thickness and drive to the signal going into the Minilogue XD.
Each parameter has been tuned in detail based on what the musician wants from the synthesizer. The sounds range from typical analog warm pads to thick bass and crisp leads, covering every situation.
Of course, the programs you create can also be saved locally. Out of the box, the minilogue xd comes loaded with 200 presets, and can store 500 programs in total.

Equipped with digital multi-engine
Additional sound design possibilities for digital sound are provided by the Multi-Engine, which serves as a third oscillator in addition to the two analog VCOs. The engine is equipped with three different types of sound generators (Noise, VPM and User Slot) that allow you to exploit different sonic characteristics than analog, and use them simultaneously with the analog engine to infinitely expand the capabilities of your sounds. potential.

Noise Generator
The noise generator provides the four noises needed for percussion or sound effects. You can use digital filters to directly change the color of noise.

VPM Oscillator
The minilogue xd's multi-engine uses a VPM (Variable Phase Modulation)/FM oscillator with a two-operator structure. It can produce sharp metallic sounds and complex overtones that go beyond what is possible with analog systems. With 16 types of oscillators and the SHAPE knob control, you'll be able to create complex sounds intuitively.

User Oscillator
User Oscillators allow you to load oscillator programs that you have created yourself or obtained from the Internet. There are 16 user slots, plus a morphing wavetable oscillator provided as a preset.

High-quality digital effects
Minilogue XD's high-quality digital effects, powered by 32-bit floating-point DSP processing, add the finishing touch to its extensive sound design platform. Three types (modulation effects, reverb, and delay) can be used simultaneously, allowing you to choose from a wide range of variations, including chorus, ensemble, warm tape delay, and various reverbs. The User Effects slot allows you to load effects programs that you create yourself.

User customization stimulates unlimited potential
minilogue xd features an open and customizable environment. The unit comes with 16 user oscillator slots and 16 user effects slots that you can customize. The oscillators and user programs you create using the SDK (Software Development Kit) can be loaded into the Minilogue XD via a dedicated library management software.

16-button polyphonic step sequencer
The step sequencer provides 16 steps and supports instant recording and step recording. You can directly select steps using the 16 step buttons, allowing quick editing to replace the pitch of a step or mute it, or even improvise. Motion Sequence lets you record the movement of up to four knobs, adding time-varying changes to the sound. You can record not only smooth changes in value, but also precise changes in value at each step. You can use it to design different sounds in each step; for example, you can create a drum pattern or sound effects from just a single program. This allowed countless ideas to be unleashed.
