The MX49BK series features over 1,000 sounds from Yamaha's renowned MOTIF XS series. From real pianos, electric pianos, strings, traditional drums to complex 8-element synthesizer sounds, the MX49BK has your favorite MOTIF sounds. The MX49BK features a sleek interface that lets you instantly select these great sounds. The new catalog selection design makes it easier to find the sound you need. You can also edit and save your own sounds on the fly.
Split-key/overlapping playing mode
Same as the Performance Mode function of the MOTIF series. You can use the [Split] function to automatically split keys, the [Layer] function to layer sounds, automatically play arpeggios, and select specific parts to edit drum sounds, just like the performance configuration of a one-man band. 128 user performances are all editable.
16 voices and 128 voicings
Each performance group can have up to 16 parts, and any part can be switched at will without stopping the notes. 128 voices can be played on DAW software, and live performance and live playback via DAW MIDI tracks make the MX49BK series the best sound generator.
USB interface can be used as Audio/MIDI dual interface
MX49BK can not only control DAW software and VST plug-ins, but also provide an audio interface. Simply connect the computer via a USB cable and you can monitor the sound of the MX49BK or the sound in the DAW software through the headphone output (requires PA equipment or external monitoring). Thanks to the professional music application of MX49BK, the sound quality is better when the audio is converted into sound output on MX49BK. The dual-interface feature of the MX49BK allows you to record the built-in sound of the MX directly into your computer without the need for an analog conversion process, while still maintaining high-quality sound.
Able to directly operate various VST plug-ins and DAW software manually
The MX49BK features sturdy knobs and durable buttons for controlling DAW parameters and VST plug-ins. Remote template editor allows you to control your computer's DAW software and VST plug-ins using its panel controller. A large number of integrated templates can be used in DAW software; when using Cubase, the AI knob function can more quickly control parameters in Cubase, and increase the remote control function when connected to Cubase.
Includes CUBASE AI software
The MX49BK is the only affordable synthesizer that comes with music production software. The Steinberg Cubase AI software has 48 audio tracks, 64 MIDI tracks, notation function, and built-in VST plug-in effects. With just one MX and AI software, you have a complete music production system. In addition, the Steinberg Prologue synthesizer and the Yamaha YC-3B organ emulator software synthesizer are integrated. Plus the remote template editor, you can directly control VST plug-ins, which is quite convenient.
Cubasis LE
In addition to Cubase AI, MX49BK also provides iPad music production software App "Cubasis LE". Connecting the MX49BK to your iPad unlocks all the features of Cubasis LE. The dual-interface USB audio/midi plug-and-play functionality enhances the MX49BK’s music production capabilities in Cubasis LE.
Both digital and analog music formats are applicable
In addition to the USB Audio/MIDI jack, a [USB TO Device] jack is also provided for direct connection to an external USB flash drive to store or play files. The [AUX IN] jack can also be connected to MP3 playback devices.

VCM (Virtual Circuitry Modeling)

Plug and Play Function Integration
MX49BK supports USB plug-and-play function. It can be used in conjunction with various iOS music apps, such as FM Essential and Cubasis LE.
