Features

The volca nubass is the first analog synthesizer to feature Nutube's new generation of vacuum tubes in its oscillator circuit. By incorporating vacuum tubes, the nubass can produce a warm, thick, and rich sound. The familiar transistor ladder filter along with overdrive and huge sounding distortion give it a distinctly classic bass machine character. Combined with an LFO with flexible routing and synchronization capabilities, nubass also opens up a world of possibilities for a new generation of music.

The Nutube features two vacuum tubes; one is used in an oscillator to generate a sawtooth or square wave. Another vacuum tube is used in the drive circuit for the sub-oscillator, adding depth and warmth an octave below the oscillator.

The nubass' built-in lowpass filter defines its sound; it uses the transistor ladder design found on classic analog bass synthesizers. Its wide range of sonic possibilities makes it ideal for all kinds of dance music.

It also features a full-fledged 16-step sequencer with a variety of functions; by combining it with a rhythm machine, you can create rhythm tracks or loop music.
