The VAD306 is a unique V-Drum Acoustic Design drum set that maintains the traditional aesthetic design direction unique to this series in a compact design. The kit takes up the same space as a medium-sized V-Drums kit, making it perfect for home and small stage use. It's shrunk to a shallower shell to save space and weight, but once in the playing position it will feel instantly familiar to any drummer. A double-stand drum stand with mid-tom and cymbal stands completes the overall setup and further enhances the traditional drum design. The VAD503 features stunning looks, a familiar layout, and the inspiring playability of a top-notch vintage kit, making it instantly familiar to any drummer. The kit's 14-inch stainless steel snare, plus a 10-inch tom-tom, 14-inch floor tom-tom, and a 20-inch bass drum with a full-size wooden shell add to the authenticity, providing a true traditional drum playing experience with sticks and mallets. A full cymbal lineup includes a 12-inch V-Hi-Hat, a 14-inch crash (with a low-profile profile and textured feel), and an 18-inch ride cymbal, providing exceptional playability and a natural look on stage.

Roland's cutting-edge digital percussion pad technology brings a more realistic playing experience to V-Drums. The digital snare drum and ride pad are connected to the TD-27 via a USB cable, and combined with the sound module, they deliver a more natural expression, allowing you to hear every detail of your drumming skills. Multiple sensors and lightning-fast processing provide amazing responsiveness, letting you drum in the most natural way possible. Grace notes, frame hits, and the corss stick on the snare are all accurately detected, while the ride cymbal offers a wide range of tonal expression and can be muted by touching the bow or heart.
The natural feel of traditional drums
Roland's legendary multi-layer, adjustable-tension mesh heads deliver a truly realistic feel, allowing you to adjust the rebound of your sticks to your personal playing style. When you strike the specially designed bass drum with a drumstick, the air inside the drum shell physically moves, creating air pressure and resistance, just like when playing a traditional bass drum.

First, we sampled a wide variety of classic and modern drums, cymbals, and percussion instruments in high-quality, capturing every possible velocity and detail of the drumhead strikes. These samples are then brought to life using Roland’s unique Prismatic Sound Modeling technology, using patented behavior modeling techniques that have been refined over more than two decades. Every time you hit a drum or cymbal, you don't just trigger a canned sound - you play a full instrument that responds in every way like a traditional drum, with an unprecedented range of sounds to play with.
Build your own drum kit
With traditional drums, you can create the sound you want by changing the drumhead type, adjusting the tuning, adding a muffler, adjusting the tension on the snare drum, changing the bass drum sticks, and more. The TD-27 sound module delivers on these features, allowing you to create custom drum kits for any situation. Just strike a pad to select it, then use the physical controls and intuitive editing tools to get the sound you want. Your edits are saved automatically so all you have to do is focus on playing. You can even load your own samples and layer them with the built-in sounds to create a more personal drum kit.
Double-bracket chrome drum stand
The way traditional drums and cymbals are mounted not only gives off a classic image—it also has an impact on how they feel. The mid-drum pad is mounted on the same drum stand as a traditional mid-drum, giving it just the right amount of feel. Each drum stand features double brackets for rock-solid stability and easily adjusts to fit your preferred configuration.
PureAcoustic Ambience
New PureAcoustic Ambience technology makes every drum kit sound even better, producing an incredibly natural and immersive soundstage when performed. You can also go deeper and adjust the mic placement of each drum kit, and use the newly developed overhead mic simulator to shape the overall sound. Finally, advanced built-in multi-effects and mixing capabilities give you the power of a studio console, with transient, parametric EQ, compressor, reverb, delay and more at your disposal.
Powerful connectivity for stage and studio use
Equipped with a variety of connection options, the VAD503 delivers exceptional sound for live performance or recording work. The TD-27 sound module features stereo outputs for outputting the overall drum sound, and two direct outputs for independently sending the kick drum, snare drum, and other sounds to an audio console for independent mixing. In the recording studio, the built-in USB audio interface makes computer music production more convenient, with up to 28 audio channels transmitted via just one cable. MIDI transmission is also supported via USB and dedicated I/O, allowing you to synchronize with other MIDI devices and trigger the sounds of software sound sources in your computer.
Expand your drum kit easily
With the VAD503 drum kit, you are no longer limited to the original drum set combination. Using the TD-27 module’s three auxiliary pickup inputs, it’s easy to add tom and cymbal pads to enhance your arsenal. Or you can go with a double bass drum setup for maximum impact. Bluetooth wireless connectivity and built-in coaching tools
Built-in Bluetooth transmission function can wirelessly transmit the audio from your mobile phone or laptop to the sound source machine, allowing you to play the drums along with your headphones. Play along with your favorite music, or mix your drum kit with sounds from YouTube tutorials. The built-in coach function helps you practice your drumming skills and track your progress, while the advanced metronome function helps you develop a steady sense of rhythm and speed.
